Skyline Travertine Penthouse— Luxury Penthouse Interior

The Brief

A top-floor apartment with panoramic glazing on three sides. The owners asked for a home that felt grounded and quiet despite its height — somewhere the city view is enjoyed, not performed.

Design Approach

We treated the penthouse as a single stone pavilion. A central travertine volume houses the fireplace, storage and services, freeing the perimeter for uninterrupted living space along the glass.

Ceilings step down at the edges to conceal perimeter cove lighting, so the rooms are lit from their boundaries at dusk and the reflections in the glazing stay soft.

Materials & Craft

Navona travertine was selected for its warm tone and quiet veining, and laid in large, carefully sequenced panels so the joints align across walls and consoles. Low cabinetry is finished in smoked oak with brushed brass detailing.

All turnkey works — stone, joinery, lighting and soft furnishings — were coordinated by one team to keep tolerances tight between materials.

The Outcome

The result is a calm, monolithic interior that frames the skyline rather than competing with it, with a material palette chosen to wear in rather than wear out.
